Cella Monte, from latin “cellam ad montem”, is a municipality with 527 inhabitants, once belonging to the Ivrea and Monferrato marquises and to the Vercelli bishops.
The wise conservation job of the last decades permitted the recovery of sandstone buildings.
“Infernot”, medieval cellars carved in tuff for wine keeping, are typical of the town: events dedicated to baroque music and to local white truffle take place there.
Historical and religious buildings are the castle, Palazzo Radicati, Chiesa S. Quirico and Oratorio S. Antonio.
