In the typical “infernots” of Rosignano Monferrato, dug in tuff, very old wines age, as in many towns of the Basso Monferrato.
On east-hills, towards the Ghenza valley, we find the Uviglie Castle, built between 1239 and 1271. S. Luigi Gonzaga, S. Giovanni Bosco and the Negus from Ethiopia’s nephews had been hosted within its walls. The English garden and the park with copious rare plants are remarkable.
